I-66 Citizens' Recycling and Disposal Facility

This facility, located at 4618 West Ox Road in Fairfax, opened in 1993 and is part of the transfer station facility. The Citizens' Recycling and Disposal Facility was constructed over a portion of the closed landfill, returning this space to useable activities.

This site accepts normal household trash, yard waste, and bulky waste for disposal and fees are charged based upon the amount of waste delivered. A full range of recycling activities are also supported at the site including metal, organic material such as leaf, wood, brush, aluminum, cardboard and newspapers.  Current information about this facility including the address, hours of operation and materials accepted can be found online.
