Residents who use county disposal facilities are charged for their waste based on volume or weight. They must show proof of residency (utility bill, driver's license) in order to use disposal facilities located at the I-66 Transfer Station Complex or I-95 Landfill Complex. The fees charged for disposal are based upon the type of material and amount disposed.
Residents may pay their disposal charges using cash, check (with a valid driver's license) or by MasterCard or Visa.
Most recyclables are accepted for FREE at the I-66 and I-95 sites. However, fees apply to yard waste, brush, appliances and tires. These fees offset special processing costs.
