Sign Permits


There are a number of legal restrictions on posting signs in the County, and a sign permit is often required. Those wishing to advertise such matters as business services, real estate offerings or yard sales should be aware of these restrictions.

For information about posting signs on private property, please call Zoning Administration at 703-324-1300, TTY 711.

For information about posting signs in the state right-of-way along public roads, please call the Virginia Department of Transportation at 703-383-2888, TTY 711.
