The Little Hunting Creek Watershed Management Plan was adopted by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 7, 2005.

Unique Features
The headwaters of Little Hunting Creek are located in Huntley Meadows Park. Much of the land in the Little Hunting Creek watershed was once owned by George Washington. The original name for his home was Little Hunting Creek Plantation, which was later changed to Mount Vernon.
