Comprehensive Plan policy relating to transportation-generated noise issues can be found in both the Policy Plan and the Area Plan volumes.
- The Environment section of the Policy Plan (PDF-Page 10) contains general policy regarding noise issues
- The Area III Plan contains more specific guidance addressing airport noise land use compatibility in the area near Washington Dulles International Airport. Guidance can be found in both the Area III Plan Overview (PDF-Page 18) as well as within the Area Wide Recommendations (Environment) for the Dulles Suburban Center. (PDF-Page 33)
