1.  Discussion with Virginia Department of Transportation staff on a range of design and environmental issues:
    -    Tree/vegetation preservation through project design and implementation/maintenance
    -    Pollinator-friendly plantings within VDOT rights-of-way
    -    Stormwater management efforts for road widening projects
    -    VDOT responsibilities regarding stormwater runoff from impervious areas (e.g., VDOT's MS4 requirements and their implementation)
    -    Mitigation of wetland impacts associated with highway project impacts/wetland banking
        o    VDOT's practices
        o    VDOT's thoughts regarding a possible EQAC resolution supporting incentive strategies for the establishment of approved mitigation banks in Fairfax County
    -    VDOT support for multi-modal transportation opportunities
        o    Safety of pedestrian/bicycle/car interactions at intersections; e.g., the "Dutch junction" concept
        o    Potential for/obstacles to a major regional trail system along I-66 that would be fully integrated with other trails in/near the county (e.g., W&OD Trail; Custis Trail)
        o    Other short-term bicycle projects planned for Fairfax County
        o    Process to add bike lanes to existing or new streets (e.g., in conjunction with repaving projects)
        o    Pedestrian connectivity in road project design--e.g., sidewalks on local streets that connect to suburban centers and transit areas
    -    Use of chemicals to prevent and remove snow/ice from state roadways

2.    Discussion of Fairfax County's wildlife management program
    -    Management and structure of the wildlife management program and animal shelter and any anticipated changes
    -    Status of the Assistant Wildlife Management Specialist position
    -    Overview of current wildlife management efforts, including deer hunts
    -    Animal control officer protocol re: injured wildlife

3.    Report and recommendations from the Student Member Search Committee

4.    2016 Annual Report on the Environment:  Reminder to chapter authors of upcoming deadlines/review schedule
5.    Approval of meeting minutes
