Environmental Quality Advisory Council - Meeting Information

The Fairfax County Environmental Quality Advisory Council (EQAC) is an advisory group that has been appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to advise the Board on environmental matters. The Council generally meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m. at the Hidden Oaks Nature Center, 7701 Royce Street, Annandale, although there are occasionally exceptions--Please note that the May 13 meeting will be held at the Noman M. Cole, Jr. Pollution Control Plant. Meetings begin promptly and are open to the public.

Each year, EQAC holds a public hearing to obtain input from interested parties on issues of environmental concern.  The most recent public hearing was held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015; the next public hearing will likely be held during the winter of 2015-2016.  The public is encouraged to attend and share views on the state of the environment and to identify any environmental issues applicable to Fairfax County. The public is also invited to attend any EQAC meeting and to submit correspondence for EQAC's consideration at any time.
