The Fairfax County Environmental Quality Advisory Council (EQAC) is an advisory group that has been appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to advise the Board on environmental matters. The Council generally meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m. at the Hidden Oaks Nature Center, 7701 Royce Street, Annandale, unless otherwise noted. Meetings begin promptly at 7:15 p.m. and are open to the public.
Each year (usually in December), EQAC holds a public hearing to obtain citizen input on issues of environmental concern. The public is encouraged to attend and share views on the state of the environment and to identify any environmental issues applicable to Fairfax County. The public is also invited to attend any EQAC meeting and to submit correspondence for EQAC's consideration at any time.
