Fairfax Forward - Work Program Review (Part I of the Evaluation)
The 2015 evaluation of the process will assess the achievement of the adopted goals for Fairfax Forward, as described by the draft evaluation criteria.
The process evaluation will primarily focus on
Public participation: To measure public participation, staff is
survey at public meetings and online to assess such measures
as convenience, notification of meetings, clarity of information
presented, value of involvement, and the resulting interest in future
Approach to conducting planning studies: The approach to
conducting land use studies on the work program will be compared with a
staff-developed generalized workflow to understand its success. The
generalized workflow includes such tasks as collecting and analyzing
data; coordinating with County agencies, stakeholders, and task forces;
preparing community presentations; and consulting with Planning
Commissioner(s) and District Supervisor(s).
- Adherence to the work program schedule: Tthe work program schedule will be measured by evaluating the number of studies in progress or completed and how the addition of Board-authorized Plan amendments has affected the schedule.
