Overview of the Baileys Crossroads Planning Study
Baileys Crossroads Planning Study will focus on evaluating and refining the concepts and strategies developed by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Advisory Services Panel for a portion of the area they studied. The ULI study grouped the Baileys Crossroads areas around the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Columbia Pike into quadrants. The Baileys Crossroads Planning Study will focus on evaluating and refining the urban concept for the south (“Village Center??) and east (“Urban Square??) quadrants.
Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning, along with a consultant, will coordinate the planning study. The study will result in recommendations for changes to the Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan and strategies for implementing those changes. The study is anticipated to be completed in early 2009.
