Development of Guiding Planning Principles – January 26, 2010 -
Staff from the Planning Division of the Department of Planning and Zoning
will work with interested community members to develop Guiding Planning
Principles for development in Reston which will be used in subsequent
phases of the study.

Corridor Evaluation – Begin in January 2010
The Reston Master Plan Special Study Task Force will evaluate existing
Comprehensive Plan recommendations for the Dulles Corridor, including the
areas around three planned transit-station areas (Wiehle Avenue, Reston
Parkway and Herndon-Monroe) as well as the Reston Town Center. The
parcels addressed in the deferred 2008 North County Area Plan Review
(Hunter Mill District) proposals will be considered during the Task
Force's evaluation of each of these larger areas but the nominations will
not be considered individually.
