Public Workshops on Land Use Prototypes and Transportation Networks

Public Workshops and Web Input on Land Use Prototypes

Visualization of Future Tysons West station areaThe Tysons Land Use Task Force and its consultant team developed two land use prototypes for future growth in Tysons.  The two prototypes were evaluated to determine:

  • How different internal transportation systems function
  • How overall growth can be managed
  • How to provide parks and open spaces
  • How to increase residential development, and
  • How other key choices will affect the future.

The Task Force held three community workshops on February 27 and 28 to allow the public to discuss these choices in a small groups.  This input will be used to develop a preferred alternative for the future of Tysons by late spring.  The Task Force also accepted public input through this web site.

Presentations and analyses of the prototypes and tranportation networks can be found below.  These include the results of the transportation modeling process, visualizations of streetscapes and massing models, and analyses of the impacts on public facilities and services.
