Affordable Housing Partnerships
Fairfax County Faith Communities in Action (FCIA) endorses efforts to maintain and create affordable housing opportunities and to prevent homelessness for all Fairfax County residents and encourages faith communities to become involved in initiatives supporting these objectives. In order to facilitate such faith community engagement, the FCIA Housing Task Force explored just how faith groups were addressing local affordable housing and homeless prevention issues. Findings showed that most faith communities were selecting to partner with one or more area nonprofit organizations to support housing-related programs or services.
The Northern Virginia Directory of Faith Community and Nonprofit Organization Affordable Housing and Homeless Service Partnerships was compiled and organized by the FCIA Housing Task Force as a resource for Northern Virginia faith communities interested in pursuing their group's involvement in affordable housing opportunties and homeless prevention efforts.
The Directory identifies and describes initiatives of Northern Virginia nonprofit affordable housing and homeless prevention organizations which welcome partnerships with local faith communities and is made available for your use on this web page.
This directory will be updated on a regular basis. For more information, please contact the Community Interfaith Liaison Office.
