What is NAFA?
The Fairfax County Network Against Family Abuse is a group of representatives from law enforcement, court, county government, and community-based organizations. Its primary mission is to work toward the elimination of domestic violence and to coordinate services, increasing public awareness of domestic violence resources and services. NAFA’s efforts are focused on ensuring victim safety and batterer accountability through a comprehensive coordinated community response with emphasis on policy development and the need to address violence as it affects children who are exposed to domestic violence. NAFA works collaboratively with the Fairfax County Domestic Violence Prevention, Policy, and Coordinating Council and others to support the ongoing determination of issues and suggestions for change.
