- Mail checks to Fairfax County, Department of Tax Administration, Suite 223, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Virginia, 22035. Checks should be made payable to: County of Fairfax. US Postmark must be by the due date to avoid late charges.
- If you have a copy of your current year tax bill and are paying by the original due date, you can pay Fairfax County real estate and car taxes at certain bank branches throughout Fairfax County. You must pay by cash or check only, and the payment must match the amount billed exactly. All branches of the following banks located in Fairfax County participate in this program: Wachovia; SunTrust; and Bank of America.
- Visit our main tax office near Fair Oaks Mall at the Fairfax County Government Center, Suite 223, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Virginia, 22035. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Thursdays. On Thursdays the cashier counter is open until 6:30 p.m.
