Election Officer Training Class Schedule
NOTE: The
following schedule of classes is subject to change. The
Electoral Board will attempt to notify its election officers
if changes do occur. Any changes and/or updates to the
training schedule will be posted to this website.
The training schedule for this election has been moved
up to accommodate preparations for Celebrate Fairfax
- the county fair held at the Government Center. We encourage
chiefs to attend the Saturday training, if possible. Parking
and room space on Monday and Tuesday may be impacted by
the fair set up.

ELECTION
OFFICER TRAINING
Election officers are required by law to attend a one-time
training class on the operation of voting equipment. The
following training classes include training on Election
Day procedure as well as training on the new voting machines.
These classes are for new election officers who have never
attended training as well as experienced officers who would
like a refresher class. THERE IS NO NEED TO RSVP FOR
THESE CLASSES.
The following class will be held at the Fairfax
County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway,
Fairfax:
Thursday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. OR
7:00 p.m.- Conference Rooms 2/3
Wednesday, May 28th at 7:00 p.m. - Conference Rooms 9/10
MANDATORY
PRE-ELECTION CLASSES FOR CHIEF, ASSISTANT CHIEF AND STAND-BY
CHIEF ELECTION OFFICERS
Chief,
assistant chief and stand-by chief election officers are
required by the Code of Virginia, §24.2-115, to attend
training prior to every election in which they serve. YOU
MUST RSVP FOR THESE CLASSES. You may e-mail
us with your RSVP.
The following classes will be held at the Fairfax
County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway,
Fairfax:
Saturday, May 31st at 10:00 a.m.- Board Auditorium
Monday, June 2nd at 10:00 a.m. - Conference Rooms 9/10 OR
Monday, June 2nd at 7:00 p.m. - Conference Rooms 9/10
Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. - Board Auditorium
The following class will be held
at the South
County Center, 8350 Richmond Highway, Alexandria:
Wednesday, June 4th at 1:00 p.m.
