On Friday, April 22, the Medical Care for Children Partnership (MCCP) Foundation partnered with the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS) to host a local Give Kids A Smile event at the office of Dr. Harshit Aggarwal in Annandale. Local dentists and dental specialists volunteered their time to perform oral examinations, interpret x-rays, and provide plans for further treatment. MCCP staff registered families and provided transportation from all over Fairfax County. Each of the 42 children in attendance have been assigned to a dentist who has agreed to provide pro-bono care for the next two years!
MCCP is a program of the Fairfax County Department of Family Services, administered by the Health Access Assistance Team (HAAT) under the Public Assistance and Employment Services division, and is a collaboration between Fairfax County Government and the medical and business communities.
