Residential Permit Parking - Temporary Plates

If you are already a resident within an RPPD district and just purchased a vehicle that has temporary plates, you can apply online for a temporary permit until you satisfy the requirements for a permanent permit. When you apply online select the exception for your vehicle as ‘TEMPORARY’.

Note the email generated ‘tracking number’ for any vehicle during your online application session and include it with your required documentation. When the requirements for a permanent permit have been fulfilled, update your information online by removing the ‘TEMPORARY’ exception for your vehicle, enter the new license plate and we will process your request.

Required Documents:

  • Copy of new vehicle information to include VIN and temporary plate id.
