Meeting Minutes: A summary of the September 5, 2006, Regular meeting was approved.

Main Topics Discussed

Board Referrals:
There were no new referrals from the Board of Supervisors.

Main Topics:

Residential and Community Parking ordnance: There were question raised by TAC members regarding the proposed Residential and Community Parking ordnance. Will any allowance be made for those still rural parts of the county that would opt-out of a countywide restriction on street parking of recreational vehicles or trailers? County staff is to respond to the questions raised.

Tyson’s area plan study: The Tyson’s area plan study is proceeding. Several new committees have been established.

General Assembly Update: Transportation Special Session. Transportation funding questions were unresolved in this session.

Other Business: Board’s Transportation subcommittee may address issue of county takeover of VDOT signage at its October 18 meeting.

Upcoming Agendas: Transportation plan update (if needed), area plans, Transportation Demand Management presentation and update.
