4. Does the Fire and Rescue Department teach CPR or first aid?

Unfortunately, while in the past the Fire and Rescue Department taught CPR to many citizen groups, this program is no longer available. However, the American Red Cross continues to present excellent classes in both first aid and CPR. In addition, Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) teaches CPR as part of their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) curriculum.
