Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 10 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2005, in the West Centreville area of Fairfax County. The two-story, single-family colonial style home is located at 14386 Flourcastle Court.
First arriving firefighters reported heavy fire showing from the attached garage and roof of the structure. An additional alarm was requested, bringing over 60 emergency personnel to the scene. Firefighters conducted an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes. An adult female was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Two residents were displaced.
Damage is estimated at $300,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
