A thirty-two member, Incident Management, Communications Specialist, and firefighter team
from the National Capital Regional Incident Management Team will depart for up to 14 days
to Harrison County, Mississippi from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Academy,
4600 West Ox Road, Fairfax, VA 22030 at approximately 7 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2005.
The team consists of members from the following jurisdictions; Arlington County
Fire Department, City of Alexandria Fire Department, City of Fairfax Fire Department,
District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Frederick County Division
of Fire and Rescue Services, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, Loudoun County
Fire and Rescue Services, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, Metropolitan
Washington Airports Authority Fire Department, and Prince William County Fire and Rescue
Services.
The team will be assigned at several FEMA Distribution Centers in Harrison County,
Mississippi to assist with providing emergency services and recovery efforts in the
areas impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
