Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 8:30 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2005, near the Country Club of Fairfax in Fairfax County. The two-story single family home is located at 5115 Brookridge Place.

First arriving units saw heavy fire and smoke coming from the entire structure. Upon arrival, it took firefighters approximately 50 minutes to bring the fire under control. Over 40 emergency personnel from Fairfax County and Fairfax City were brought to the scene.

There were no injuries. The house was under renovation and vacant at the time of the incident.

Damage is estimated at $500,000.
