Lincolnia Townhouse Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a townhouse fire at approximately 10:50 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2005, in the Lincolnia area of Fairfax County. The townhouse is located at 4115 Morin Street.

First arriving firefighters reported smoke visible from the three-level townhome. Firefighters conducted an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes. The fire displaced two adults, and one child. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.

Damage is estimated at $70,000.

The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental. A faulty extension cord caused the fire.
