Commercial Building Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a building fire at approximately 10:25 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2006, in the Reston area of Fairfax County. The building is located at 12030 Sunset Hills Road.

First arriving firefighters reported smoke and fire in a second floor office upon arrival. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 10 minutes. The sprinkler system activated and helped suppress the fire. There were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at $250,000.

According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. An electric anomaly in a second floor office caused the fire.
