Lorton House Fire

Fairfax Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 4 a.m., Monday, May 29, 2006, in the Lorton area of Fairfax County. The single-family home is located at 10524 Old Colchester Road.

Firefighters saw fire and smoke coming from the first floor and attic of the two-story home upon arrival. Firefighters conducted an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in approximately 40 minutes. Two adults have been displaced. Red Cross services were not needed. There were no injuries.

Damage is estimated $100,000.

The fire is under investigation.
