House Fire Displaces Two Adults

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 4:40 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2006, in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County. The two-story single-family home is located at 6810 Haycock Road.

First arriving firefighters saw smoke coming from the basement of the townhouse. Firefighters conducted an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in approximately 10 minutes. Two adults escaped unharmed and have been displaced. There were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at $50,000.

The fire is under investigation.
