Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 1:20 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2006, in the Oakton area of Fairfax County. The home is located at 10801 Windcloud Court.
Firefighters reported fire through the roof of a three-story single-family home. A second-alarm was requested bringing over 70 emergency personnel to the scene. Firefighters conducted an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in approximately 60 minutes. Two adults and three children have been displaced. One firefighter was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Damage is estimated at $1.2 million.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
