Reston House Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 4:40 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in the Reston area of Fairfax County. The home is located at 11921 Champion Lake Court.

Firefighters saw heavy fire and smoke coming from the two-story home; the home was fully involved with fire when firefighters arrived on scene. Two adults were home when the fire broke out and escaped unharmed. It took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries. The family has been displaced. Red Cross assistance was not needed.

The home was a total loss. Damage estimate is undetermined.

The fire is under investigation.
