Clifton House Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 5:30 a.m., Sunday, July 23, 2006, in the Clifton area of Fairfax County. The home is located at 11706 Yates Ford Road.

The home was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene with heavy fire and smoke coming from the one-story home. Firefighters conducted an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in approximately 90 minutes. There were no reported injuries.

The home was a total loss. Damage is estimated at $360,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
