Reston House Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a fire in a house at approximately 12:35 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2006, in the Reston area of Fairfax County. The home is located at 11911 Fawn Ridge Lane.

Firefighters reported an attached garage on fire of a two-story single-family home. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes. There were no reported injuries. Two adults and two children have been displaced. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.

According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. An electrical anomaly in the garage caused the fire.
