Vienna House Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a commercial building fire at approximately 7:40 pm., Saturday, August 19, 2006, in the Vienna area of Fairfax County. The structure is located at 1000 Desale Street, S.W.

Firefighters reported fire showing from both floors of the two story structure. Firefighters conducted an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes.

Two firefighters were transported to Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both members were treated and released later that evening.

Damages are estimated at $150,000

According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. An overloaded electrical service line caused the fire.
