Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2007, in the Annandale area of Fairfax County. The single-family home is located at 4123 Meadow Court.
Firefighters reported smoke visible from the front of the single-family dwelling upon arrival. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes. One adult female was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Seven adults were displaced. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
Damage is estimated at $35,000.
According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. The fire originated near an electrical wall outlet.
