Annandale House Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire at approximately 3:20 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2009, in the Annandale area. The single-family home is located at 4700 Monterey Drive.

Firefighters encountered a fully engulfed split-level home. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 50 minutes. There were no reported injuries. The home was vacant at the time of the fire and was a total loss.

Damage is estimated at $332,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
