Clifton Man Charged With Setting a Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators charged Jonathan L. Vandover, 22, of 7300 block of Clifton Road, in the Clifton area, with a felony, Friday, March 6, 2009.

Vandover was charged with setting fire to an occupied dwelling (Class 4 Felony, Virginia Code 18.2-77), March 6, 2009, in connection with a house fire at 7366 Clifton Road. The fire originated in a bedroom and was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries.

Damage was estimated at $5,000.

Vandover is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
