Centreville Juveniles Charged With Setting a Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators charged two juveniles with felonies, Wednesday, March 18, 2009.

Two female juveniles from Centreville were charged with starting a fire capable of spreading (Class 6 Felony, Virginia Code 18.2-86), and setting fire to an occupied dwelling (Class 4 Felony, Virginia Code 18.2-77). The charges are in connection with intentionally setting an outside fire, Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Lee Overlook Apartments, 6403 Paddington Court, Centreville.

The fire caused damage to the landscaping and siding of the apartment complex. There were no injuries. 

Damages are estimated at $10,000.
