Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators charged Walter David Miller, Jr., 29, of no fixed address, for setting a fire on Tuesday, April 28, 2009.
Miller was charged with burning or destroying personal property (Class 1 Misdemeanor, Virginia Code 18.2-81), and for setting a fire capable of spreading (Class 6 Felony, Virginia Code 18.2-86). The charges are in connection with a house fire, March 8, 2009, at 8320 Fry Road, Alexandria. Combustible materials were set on fire outside the structure. The fire damaged the rear wooden deck and attic. There were no Injuries.
Damage is estimated at $30,000.
Miller is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
