Springfield Man Charged In Setting Vehicle Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators charged Jamaleddin Erfan, 20, of Springfield, with one count of destruction of personal property valued at greater than $200, 18.2-81, Monday, August 3, 2009. The arrest is in connection to an intentionally set vehicle fire in the Lorton area of Fairfax County, Sunday, August 2, 2009. 

Property loss is estimated at $16,500.

Erfan is being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond. The charge is a class 4 felony.
