Two Juveniles Start Brush Fire

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators charged two female juveniles with damaging property by fire, in the 6000 block of Waterbury Court, May 12, 2010. The fire occurred April 2, 2010, at approximately 6:50 p.m., in a common area near single family homes and townhomes in the Springfield area.

The juveniles are charged with carelessly damaging property by fire, (Class 4 misdemeanor, Virginia Code 18.2-88).

Fire crews quickly extinguished the approximately 20 by 30 foot grass and brush fire. There was no damage to any structures. There were no injuries.
