Firefighters Provide Support for Kids One-Mile Fun Run/Walk

When: Saturday, July 30, 2011; 9 a.m. - Noon
Firefighters from Fire and Rescue Station 9, Mount Vernon, and Fire and Rescue Station 24, Woodlawn, will partner with the Mount Vernon Athletic Club in support of a Kids One-Mile Run/Walk, Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 9 a.m., at the Mount Vernon Athletic Club.
The purpose of the Kids One-Mile Fun Run/Walk is to show children how to have fun exercising and to learn about the importance of nutrition. Giveaways, healthy snacks, and refreshments will be provided for all participants.
Firefighters will also provide kids a show-and-tell of their apparatus and equipment.
