The 2013 Civilian of the Year ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Public Safety Center, 4100 Chain Bridge Road, honoring Ms. Annie Dawkins.
An administrative aide, and a ten-year veteran within the Recruitment Section, Ms. Dawkins has guided thousands of firefighter applicants through a challenging and arduous selection process prior to being selected as a recruit firefighter. Her attention to detail, unwavering commitment, and her caring attitude in helping applicants navigate through this process has been exemplary.
The Civilian of the Year was established this year to provide special recognition for outstanding service by a civilian employee and is in keeping with the highest traditions of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
