Vienna House Fire

Date: July 14, 2014

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire Friday, July 11, 2014, at approximately 8:10 a.m., in the Vienna area of Fairfax County. The single-family home is located at 200 Mashie Drive SE.

Firefighters encountered smoke and fire coming from the front of the split-level home upon arrival. Firefighters conducted an aggressive fire attack and brought the fire under control in less than 10 minutes. No one has been displaced as the home was vacant. Smoke alarms were present, but not sounding when firefighters arrived on scene. There were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.

The fire is under investigation.
