News Release 14-85
Date:  September 02, 2014

Firefighters, police officers, and deputy sheriffs will join the national Guardians of the Ribbon, Pink Heals Tour, and its local Virginia Chapters, Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Reston Town Square Park, 11990 Market Street, Reston, in supporting women battling cancer.

The Pink Heals Tour motto is simply stated: Supporting Women, Raising Awareness. The focus of the group is on women survivors; however, support is given to everyone battling all types of cancers.

Pink fire engines, fire trucks, and police cruisers, along with local firefighters, police officers, and deputy sheriffs will don pink t-shirts to show solidarity during the event. Local residents who have been affected by cancer will have a chance to autograph or sign the pink vehicles.

Love and hope are the two virtues guiding the organization, sharing their brand and mission to residents all across the country, inspiring people and honoring the women who have fought the cancer battle.

T-Shirts will be available for sale at the event.
