Firefighters Highlight EMS Week With "Kids in Motion"

Selected Fire and Rescue Stations throughout Fairfax County


Fairfax County firefighters will participate in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week with an Open House, Sunday, May 18, 2008, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. EMS Week, sponsored by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), encourages local communities and medical personnel to highlight safety and honor those day-to-day EMS providers who respond around-the-clock striving to save lives.

The department has adopted a theme of "Kids in Motion," and will emphasize the importance of child safety. Firefighters have scheduled fun activities and will provide information at 13 participating fire and rescue stations.
