Ed Ryan coordinates Fairfax County’s gang prevention and intervention programs and initiatives. He works with local law enforcement agencies providing adjunct support services to suppression efforts. In addition, Ryan collaborates with the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force and the community. The gang prevention coordinator position is part of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court (JDRDC).
In conjunction with county and community organizations, Ryan provides gang prevention and intervention training. He also offers presentations and outreach to nonprofit, community, faith-based and business groups.
Ryan is the former gang prevention coordinator in Loudoun County. He also spent eight years within the Fairfax County Court Service Unit.
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Ryan has a master’s degree in public administration from George Mason University.
