1. ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE ARRIVAL OF CHAIRMAN CONNOLLY (
Vice-Chairman Bulova announced that Chairman Connolly would be arriving later in the meeting.

2. 6 P.M. – CONTINUATION OF THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE’S PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2005 ADVERTISED BUDGET PLAN, THE ADVERTISED CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) FOR FY’S 2005–2009_ (WITH FUTURE FY’S TO 2014) AND THE CURRENT APPROPRIATION IN THE FY 2004 REVISED BUDGET PLAN (6:05 p.m.)

Following the testimony of Ernie Wakeham, President, Northern Virginia Senior Softball (Speaker 60), regarding the proposed athletic services fees, Supervisor Frey asked unanimous consent that the Board direct staff to provide an explanation of the proposed 42 percent cost increase for the Director's Office staff of the Department of Community and Recreation Services. Without objection, it was so ordered.

Following the
testimony of Andrea Perr, Representative, Fairfax County Animal Services Advisory
Commission (Speaker 76), regarding additional signage for the Animal Shelter,
discussion ensued with input from Anthony H. Griffin,
Supervisor Gross asked unanimous consent that any signage for the Animal Shelter be in compliance with County regulations. Without objection, it was so ordered.
The public hearing was held with testimony from 82 speakers.
