Welcome and Recognition
The Board of Supervisors will recognize the delegation from Ivanovo
State Power Engineering University, Russia for signing a memorandum of
understanding to collaborate with Northern Virginia Community
College. Northern Virginia Community College is noted as a national
leader and model in education.
Best Workplaces for Commuters Awards
Best Workplaces for
Commuters will present certificates to Fairfax County, Booz Allen
Hamilton, SAIC, George Mason University, Inova Fairfax Hospital, Orange
Business Services, National Wildlife Federation, the AeroSpace
Corporation, ICF International (Fairfax) and Inova Alexandria Hospital
for offering large-scale trip reduction programs to employees.
Michael Cooper
The Board of Supervisors will recognize gymnastics coach Michael Cooper
for his induction into the Virginia High School Hall of Fame.
Henry Latimer
The Board of Supervisors will recognize Henry Latimer for his years of
service on the Human Services Council.
George Lovelace
The Board of Supervisors will recognize George Lovelace for his years of
service to Fairfax County and the Town of Vienna.
AIDS Awareness Day
The Board of Supervisors will designate Dec. 1, as AIDS Awareness Day in Fairfax County.
