Anthony H. Griffin
Fairfax County Executive Anthony H. Griffin was recognized with the International City/County Management Association Mark E. Keane Career Excellence Award.

Best Workplaces for Commuters
Fairfax County employers selected by the Fairfax County Department of Transportation as “Best Workplaces for Commuters” were recognized.

Make it Work Program
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Make it Work Program for students with disabilities, a program that facilitates their transition from Fairfax County high schools to the workplace.

Garrett Evans
The Board of Supervisors recognized Garrett Evans from Rachel Carson Middle School for being named the Virginia Middle School Technology Education Teacher of the Year for 2011.

Tropical Storm Lee Assistance
The Board of Supervisors recognized those who assisted with the rescue and recovery of the Huntington community and other areas of Fairfax County during Tropical Storm Lee.

Robin Hardy Ransom
The Board of Supervisors recognized Robin Hardy Ransom for her years of service to Fairfax County.
