South County Secondary School Baseball Team
The Board of Supervisors recognized the South County Secondary School Baseball Team for its numerous accomplishments.

McLean High School Girls Soccer Team
The Board of Supervisors recognized the McLean High School Girls Soccer Team for winning the Virginia Group AAA state championship.

Langley High School Boys Lacrosse Team
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Langley High School Boys Lacrosse Team for winning the Virginia high School League state tournament for the third consecutive year.

Mount Vernon District Visioning Task Force
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Mount Vernon District Visioning Task Force for its service and report providing a vision of where the district should be in 25 years.

Paola and Robert Pizzano
The Board of Supervisors recognized Paola and Robert Pizzano for their contribution from the Joey Pizzano Memorial Foundation to fund a family recreation area at the Lee District Park.

John Ariail Jr.
The Board of Supervisors recognized the vision, dedication, leadership and significant contributions to the Lorton Arts Foundation, Workhouse Arts Center and Fairfax County of John Harvey Ariail Jr.

The Board of Supervisors recognized John Monsul and the crew of the Fairfax Public Access Cable Channel 10 program, "Communicating Today."

Nancy Mercer and Jill Eglè
The Board of Supervisors recognized Nancy Mercer and Jill Eglè for their years of service at The Arc of Northern Virginia for residents of Fairfax County.

Direct Support Professionals Appreciation Month
The Board of Supervisors designated September as Direct Support Professionals Appreciation Month in Fairfax County.

The Office of Public Affairs coordinates resident presentations and recognitions by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors at its regular meetings.
