Recertification for the Certified Crime Prevention Community
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services presented the recertification of Fairfax County for the Certified Crime Prevention Community to the Board of Supervisors.

National Night Out
The Board of Supervisors designated Aug. 2 as National Night Out in Fairfax County.

Master Police Officer J.T. Frey
The Board of Supervisors recognized Master Police Officer J.T. Frey for being named ASIS International 2011 Crime Prevention Officer of the Year.

Fire and Emergency Medical Service Safety, Health and Survival Week
The Board of Supervisors designated June 19-25 as Fire and Emergency Medical Service Safety, Health and Survival Week in Fairfax County.

Hepatitis Awareness Day
The Board of Supervisors designated June 25 as Hepatitis Awareness Day in Fairfax County.

Mosquito Control Awareness Week
The Board of Supervisors designated June 26-July 2 as Mosquito Control Awareness Week in Fairfax County.

Wolf Trap Foundation
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts for its 40th anniversary.

Kaiser Permanente
The Board of Supervisors recognized Kaiser Permanente for its contributions to the health of our community.
