Forestville Elementary School
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Forestville Elementary
School Odyssey of the Mind Team for winning the Ranatra Fusca
Creativity Award at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals Competition
held at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, from May 23-26.
Buffa’s Dance Studio
The Board of Supervisors recognized the Senior Dance Company from
Buffa’s Dance Studio in Burke for numerous achievements at the
Contest of Champions held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in
Orlando, Fl., on February 25, including the title of Grand National
Champions.
Stephen J. DeBenedittis
The Board of Supervisors recognized Stephen J. DeBenedittis of
Herndon for his years of service as the mayor of the Town of Herndon.
Fire and EMS Safety, Health and Survival Week
The Board of Supervisors designated June 17-23 as Fire and EMS
Safety, Health and Survival Week in Fairfax County.
Hepatitis Awareness Day
The Board of Supervisors designated June 23 as Hepatitis Awareness
Day in Fairfax County.
Mosquito Control Awareness Week
The Board of Supervisors designated June 24-30 as Mosquito Control Awareness Week
in Fairfax County.
